Urban Bliss Life ยป Travel ยป 2015 Subaru Legacy Review

    2015 Subaru Legacy Review

The 2015 Subaru Legacy is a mid-size sedan that starts at $21,695 and seats five. But there's a lot to this car behind the numbers.

    Oregonians love their Subarus.

Drive anywhere in the state, and you're likely to find a Subaru Outback scaling the roads that wrap around our mountains, transporting happy hikers to and from their trails, and safely shuttling families from school to sports to weekend adventures.

While a Subaruย Outback sighting is as commonย here as coffee and composting, I haven't seen nearly as many of the quieter cousin of the Subaru family, the Legacy. ย So when I was asked to participate in theย 2015 Subaru Legacy Blogger Program, I was intrigued.

The 2015 Subaru Legacy is a standard family sedanย withย good, solid sedan styling.

The interior of the Subaru Legacy I was able to test drive had leather seats and detailing. The back row seats had standard legroom for the kids, with their car seats.

Families will enjoy the variety ofย everyday smaller storage options in the main section of the car, including the overhead sunglasses compartment, lots of cup holders, and a rather large center console storage compartment.ย

As with the rest of the car's design, the dashboard control system offers a pretty standard setup. The vehicle I test drove also had heated seats, which is always nice during the upcoming fall and winter months!

The 2015 Subaru Legacy also has one of my favorite safety features: blind spot detection in the driver and passenger side mirror.

Subaru Legacy car review on UrbanBlissLife.com

Being a Subaru, the Legacy comes with several safety features in addition to the blind spot detection option.ย A rear vision camera, daytime running lights, brakeย assist, and tire pressure monitoring system come as standard features.

Overall, I found the Subaru Legacy handles varied terrain well. It did get close to the suggested miles per gallon of 36 on the highway and 26 in the city. I was actually surprised how agile the Subaru Legacy is for a sedan; it doesn't feel like an old school bulky family sedan. It has quick and well-controlled acceleration capabilities, thanks to its 4-cylinder BOXERยฎengine which providesย 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Parallel parking this vehicle downtown was a breeze!

So who should buy a Subaru Legacy? I think it's a solid vehicle for singles orย couples who don't need the added storage space or extra rugged terrain features of the Outback. If you're a family with one or two kids an in need of a second car to use for commuting, this might be for you as well. It'sย a good, solid Subaru sedan that drives nicely and has excellent safety ratings.

Have you ever owned a Subaru or would you consider one? Which one, and why?

"As common here as coffee and composting" - gotta love it! Those little blind spot indicators on the side mirrors are genius.

I used to be 100% dedicated to Volvo, but we bought a Subaru Forester last year and I'm in L.O.V.E. My sister just bought an Outback, so it looks like I'm converting my family, too!

Have you ever played the Subaru game? Knowing your end destination, each person in the car guesses how many Suburus will be spotted on the driver. The closest guess wins. Wagers can include tanks of gas, washing the car or bragging rights!

My boyfriend drives a Subaru and travels for work - A LOT! He's got over 200,000 miles on it and it's still going strong, but he says he's buying a new car soon - Another Outback!

Ive had a lot of friends who own Subarus and the LOVE them. I am considering them for my next car for the 4WD and still compact size. Thanks for the review!
