Ahhh Thanksgiving... love the day, but also that we have three days afterward to recover.

It's as if wineries know exactly what we need after gritting our teeth through Grandpa Greg's stream of racist remarks and Cousin Courtney's backhanded compliments about your cooking. Thanksgiving weekend is one of the biggest weekends of the year for wineries, and I think it's well-timed!

If you're in the Portland, Oregon area, here are my picks for Thanksgiving weekend wine tasting.

Archery Summit

Make Archery Summit part of your Thanksgiving festivities! November 27th and 28th you will have the opportunity to taste the past, present, and future of two of Archery Summit's most exclusive vineyards.  The seated tasting will feature exclusive library selections and futures from their famed Arcus Estate and Archery Summit Estate vineyards artfully paired with artisan cheeses.

Appointments are available every half hour beginning at 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. The fee for this exclusive tasting is $40 per person. Two complimentary seats per A-List membership. Reservations are required for seatings on Friday and Saturday and group sizes are limited to eight people or fewer.
