Urban Bliss Life ยป Travel ยป Oregon Travel Ideas ยป Fall Glamping Ideas

    Fall Glamping Ideas

I love being out in the great outdoors, but I don't necessarily love sleeping in it. Here are some Fall Glamping Ideas to help make your next outdoor adventure a little more luxurious.

    forest lane

As lovely as summer vacations can be, it's fall and winter when I really want to get away, curl up by the fireplace, soak up nature's wonders, and just relax with my family. Away from the mad juggling of fall schedulesโ€“school, sports, work, holidays, adult responsibilities.

Even if it's rainy and windy, just being able to run away from everyday life for a bit is a rejuvenating luxury.

Yet, fall is a toughย time to full escape work, for both me and my husband. We need vacations that are close to home and accessibleโ€“places that are low-key and don't require a day's travel time, boarding passes, or a full day of packing and unpacking.

Places like Mount Hood, which is just an hour away. Or the beautiful Oregon Coast, which is just an hour and a half away.

While many of my Pacific Northwest friends would suggest camping for the weekend at this point, I have to say: I'm not a camping gal. As an Oregon kid, I paid my dues as a child. I know what it's like to sleep on the floor of a wet, freezing tent, wondering what that sound is outside and imagining all sort ofย horrible scenarios being out there (whether in a tent or camper), exposed and vulnerable. I love, LOVE being out in the great outdoors, hiking, exploring, adventuring... but not camping. There's nothing fun about camping to me.

So, no camping for this family. But at the same time, we don't always need a full fancy hotel either. Something in-between is sometimes just right.

Recently, I learned about GlampingHub.com. GlampingHub features unique accommodations across the country and in other large countries, accommodations such as safari tents, campervans, treehouses, yurts, and teepees. They also have fancier cabins, which are great for families. After checking out the site and reviewing many options that are within a few hours' drive from our house,ย we booked an upcoming stay in a GlampingHub accommodationย near the Oregon coast.

    I am SO. EXCITED!

Our accommodations have all the amenities of home, but in an adorable unique lodging space in a secluded location, without loud hotel neighbors or drunk/crying campers.

I don't know about you, but it totally helps motivate me while working away to know that very soon, THIS might be my view within a short distance from our GlampingHub fall getaway:

In the meantime, it's back to work! Do you have any fun fall getaways planned? Have you gone glamping before?

If you're looking for a fall getaway, check out some of these Fall getaway ideas from GlampingHub.

I've partnered with GlampingHub.com for this post. All opinions and photos are, as always, my own. Can't wait to share our experience in one of their accommodations later this fall!ย

Glamping sounds perfect! I love being in nature, but sleeping on a rock hard floor in the rain does not appeal to me. Thanks for the tip! Can't wait to read about your glamping experience!

I definitely am going to check GlambingHub out. My husband hates the idea of sleeping on the ground so is never wanting to go camping but I love the idea of being outside and near an area of a beautiful hike. We have a short trip to Phoenix for work/fun but otherwise not a lot on the fall agenda, but that is kind of nice after the crazy summer!

I am never going to be a camping girl - running water that includes hot water for showers, toilets... I declare those needs, not wants. Glamping on the other hand, I will definitely consider although F still makes fun of the name!

I actually don't! I wish! I usually store mine up for winter!

I heard about it, and after sleeping in the car for my last two roadtrips, I am ready to try something little bit more comfortable. Thanks for sharing!
