Place asparagus in a large bowl or shallow pan, rub with olive oil so all of the asparagus are covered. Then season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and toss together to evenly coat the asparagus.
Wrap one bacon slice around a bundle of 3 to 4 asparagus spears, starting about an inch from the ends, overlapping slightly, then finishing about an inch from the top of the spears (see photos for examples).
Spray air fryer basket(s) with cooking spray.
Place bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles into the air fryer baskets, leaving a little room between each bundle. You will likely have to work in batches.
Air fry at 390°F for 5 minutes. Flip the bundles over.
Then air fry for another 4 to 5 minutes, just until asparagus is cooked and slightly crispy.
Notes
Makes approximately 8 side dish servings.Storage: store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in the air fryer and air fry at 350°F for 1-2 minutes just until reheated through.
